My Day At The Zoo

Today, 4-24-2011 I went to the National Zoo. It is located in Washington D.C. Amazingly, we hit every place within the zoo. My favorite is... The Octopus Tank but I must admit that the fishing cat was somewhat cool. I saw it pounce at the goldfish( which were in his tank for food and they are very slow swimmers) and eat it alive. It was the male. The female just had cubs so she and the cubs stayed inside. So, that reminds me: The clouded leopards had cubs as well. How cool is that!

Power Rangers Samurai

I just watched a show called " Power Rangers Samurai. It is about Master Xandred, a master of evil trying to rise a river to where people will drown in. Luckily, there are 5 symbol powers ( which are Chinese, so you can learn the characters) that go with each ranger. Rangers are the people who fight the niloks( Master Xandred's followers). The most powerful is fire. The second most powerful is water. The 3 that are tied in 3rd is woodland, air and wind. Of course, this is my opinion. Earlier, when Master Xandred had tried to do the same thing, all the earlier rangers( the new power rangers parents) were defeated but the Red Ranger. He tried to do the seal( the seal is some type of special power that makes Master Xandred vanish). Now that ranger didn't do the permanent seal because he was not strong enough because he was almost finished by Master Xandred. The current rangers are Mia, Emily, Mike, Kevin, Jayden and Mentor Ji. In this episode I just learned about the seal. Jayden, the current Red Ranger is trying very hard to master the seal. Only people with in the Red Ranger family can try to or master the seal because its a family power. None of the other Rangers have this family power. Recently, a gold ranger has been discovered. The power that Antonio(the gold ranger) has is light. Antonio has a Barracoda blade which is the fastest blade in the Samuari Rangers archives.

Peridot: Further More

Peridot is the best known gem variety of olivine, a species name for a series of magnesium-iron rich silicate minerals. This bright yellow-green to green gemstone has caught the fancy of humans for thousands of years. Some historians even suspect that at least some of the "emeralds" worn by Cleopatra were actually peridot. Much of its recent popularity can be explained by its currently being recognized as the birthstone for the month of August, people wear the stone because it is supposed to bring the wearer success, peace, and good luck. The peridot occurs as individual grains and aggregates of grains in a basalt which is about 3 to 35 meters thick that forms the top and sides of Peridot Mesa.On the Reservation, peridot can be mined only by individual Native Americans or by individual families of Native Americans from the San Carlos Reservation. In the past, the miners have not marketed the peridot directly to the gemstone industry. They marketed the material in random size lots, from as small as a coffee can full to as much as a 55-gallon barrel full, to local brokers or mineral dealers. The vivid green of the peridot, with just a slight hint of gold, is just the color of peridot. It is the birthstone of August and Leo the Lion. The peridot is a very old gemstone, and one which has become very popular again today. It is so ancient that it can be found in Egyptian jewelery from the early 2nd millennium B.C.. The stones used at that time came from a deposit on a small volcanic island in the Red Sea, some 45 miles off the Egyptian coast at Aswan, which was not rediscovered until about 1900. Did you know that the other word for peridot is chrysolite means in greek golden stone even though it is not golden? The hardness level of a piece of peridot would be 6.5 or 7 on Moh's hardness scale. Well, that's it so if you want to know more check out one of the peridot articles of google.

Lester's Arrival

I can't wait for Lester's arrival. Mom and Dad are really excited to. I can't wait for the time that I can play with him. I would feed and give him water every day. All the responsibility is for me to take care of. He would be the perfect pet for us.
